This artistic blue and white Jewish memorial candle holder is a glass sculpture for art lovers. In Jewish tradition a 24 hour memorial (Yahrzeit) candle is lit on the anniversary of death of a close relative and on certain Jewish holidays when the Yizkor prayer is recited. The glass is cut in strips and kiln fired at high temperatures to fuse the pieces together and then draped over a mold and fired again to create an artistic draping form where the strips of glass stretch, opening up the organic holes in the candle holder.
