This elegant candle holder is made from fused glass. In Jewish tradition a memorial (Yahrzeit) candle is lit on the anniversary of death of a close relative and on certain Jewish holidays when the Yizkor prayer is recited. These candle holders were designed to enhance this tradition allowing the memory of a loved one to be honored in a more beautified fashion.

The glass is kiln fired at high temperatures to fuse the pieces together and then draped over a mold and fired again to create an artistic draping form.

A 5.2 cm diameter candle fits inside.
